Q.: When and why did you come to Hungary?
A.: Because there is lots to do in this country and not too far away from my home-country Holland.
Q.: What is a banker doing in Hungary? Why are you not playing golf in Holland?
A.: Having six children of my own, I know quite well what children need when they are ill. That support I hope to help realise through our Smiling Hospital Foundation: for the body and soul of sick children in hospitals.
Q.: Is it true that you biked around Hungary?
A.: True. Six thousand kilometer in 120 days without any day resting. We visited daily between 6 and 12 mayors and reaised about HUF 20 million.

Q.: How do you feel in Hungary?
A.: I feel quite happy in Hungary in spite of all probems and all in-fighting between Hungarians in politics, business and everywhere else.
Q.: In what way do you want to make Smiling Hospital Foundation different than all the other Foundations?
A.: I want to make it a success-story in terms of transparency, activities throughout the country and abroad and in the necessary fundraising.
Q.: What is the future you dream for the Smiling Hospital Foundation?
A.: That nearly all sick children in Hungarian hospitals will remember with pleasure the good moments when the artists of the Smiling Hospital Foundation visited them. |
